Starting in May of 2015, The Vimean Beauty+ Salon continued its mission to unite beauty professionals to fight poverty as we sponsored our first “live-in” stylist to take up residence at the salon.  The "Live In" Stylist program places a well trained, capable stylist/educator to live in the salon for up to 6 months.  This focused professional provides continuous training and support to the young women in our program while helping to evolve our repeatable curriculum that enhances our educational capabilities.

Our first live-in stylist, Cara, lived at the salon for 6 months teaching advanced hair styling techniques.  Having worked for Bumble & bumble NYC for many years, Cara’s skills and education made her an excellent fit for this program.  Cara greatly enhanced the skills of our students while improving the overall success of the salon.  Cara hopes to go back again to Cambodia in the near future to continue her work helping youth in Cambodia.

Our next live-in educator is a make-up artist from NYC.  Working on many movies and television shows in the NY Area, Jackie Risotto is currently raising funds to go to Cambodia and teach advanced make-up techniques.  Please be sure to support her by donating directly to our cause here, or at her GoFundMe Page:  https://www.gofundme.com/26gd3egc

Nico Aceves

Nico has been to Cambodia four times over the past three years to help educate our students.  As a very accomplished stylist and educator from Bumble & bumble in NYC, Nico teaches our team the latest skills and keeps their services unparalleled in the Cambodian market.  Nico's last stay at the salon was December 2015 and we're sure he'll be back again soon.

Sarah Rappolt

Sarah is the lead educator at Ion Studios in NYC and has been to Cambodia three times to teach our students.  Her fun personality and incredible experience working across many cultures has helped many of our students gain the skills they need to succeed.

Christine Monks

Christine is a skincare expert who got her training from over 10 years working with Clinique in their education department.  Christine spent many sessions with our students teaching them about skin and the importance of keeping it healthy as a base for all beauty.  Christine's love for the beauty of all creatures has led her now to work at the ASPCA where she is the director of their education department.

Sophion Loh

An expert in make-up and beauty, Sophion worked with our students teaching them Bobbi Brown make-up essentials.  Coming from Singapore, Sophion brought a great depth of knowledge and experience working with Asian skin and helped our students find looks that were right for their market.  Sophion's incredible sense of style and experience as a make-up educator helped our students become much more skilled in using make-up.
